What should be my strategy after a Foreclosure or short sale / deed in lieu?

I have a chance to leave Michigan and start a new life in another state. It's been a hard road to see the decline of the state into oblivion, along with the value of my property. No I can therefore sell the house to be in it, and I've been having to take some type of credit involved. Is there life after foreclosure? How do I go to rent, lease or buy a car, etc? I've never been late on credit payments ever a foreclosure or DIL is the only flaw in my credit report.

A short sale is way you should go to credit limit damage. A short sale is not on your credit report than the payments were delayed, while that the process went through … which could be 1-3 months. A short sale will show the same thing that sold you the house of your credit. An exclusion is one of the worst things about on your credit. A Deed in lieu is not good, but not so bad.
